Sling (furniture)

Sling furniture is usually a suspended, free-swinging chair or bed that is made of a framework connected to hanging straps or rope. When attached to poles or a frame for carrying, a sling becomes a stretcher, a simple form of litter.

Sex slings are also used in the BDSM activities. Usually made of black leather, these slings are used to position a person undertaking the bottom role with their legs raised and spread to facilitate various sex acts. A sling generally has straps to hold the bottom's feet in the air, allowing the bottom to be more relaxed and for the top role to have more access to the anus, buttocks and groin of the bottom. They are often used for fisting, anal sex, or multipositioning for sexual comfort (or discomfort) depending on the mutual intention.^{[citation needed]}

Many products^[vague] facilitate such positioning, but few are truly user available in their home due to space restrictions. However some bed attachments have overcome the real estate needed to utilize this apparatus.
