Parliamentary elections were due to be held in Somaliland in September 2010,[1] but the Parliament, the President and the Electoral Commission have said it is not possible to hold it. Consequently, mandates for the current legislators have been extended into 2013. Opposition parties claim the move is illegal.[2] Elections were postponed again because the lack of a proper voter register, this task will not be completed before 2014.[3]
