The phrase "something wicked this way comes" originates in Act IV scene 1, line 45 of William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. The speaker is the second witch, whose full line is, "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes."

Some works in popular culture have used the phrase (or a variation) as their title.
- Something Wicked This Way Comes (1962) is a novel by Ray Bradbury. Something Wicked This Way Comes is a 1983 film based on the Bradbury novel, starring Jason Robards and Jonathan Pryce.
- "Something Wicked This Way Comes" was also the tagline to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and the whole passage from Macbeth (ending with the phrase) is sung by a choir in the film.
- "Something Larry This Way Comes" is a 1995 episode of Married... with Children in which Larry Storch appears as himself.
- "Something Wicca This Way Comes" is the first episode of the TV show Charmed. Another episode later on in the series is called "Something Wicca This Way Goes...?".
- "Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes" is a 2004 episode of South Park which deals with a Wal-Mart being built in South Park and the people becoming addicted to it.
- Something Wicked This Way Comes (1984) is an album by symphonic rock band The Enid as well as one of the tracks on this album.
- Something Wicked This Way Comes is a 1998 album by Iced Earth. It is also the name of the trilogy of songs on the same album.
- "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is the title of songs by 2Pac, TLC, Wolfpac, Barry Adamson, Doro, Grave Robber, and Wednesday 13.
- "Something Wicked" is an episode of Supernatural, with the episode involving a witch (more specifically an Albanian witch called a shtriga) from Sam & Dean's past.
- "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is also the last episode of the TV show Joan of Arcadia.
- "Something Wicked This Way Comes is a 2007 episode of Ugly Betty, and the title is also a pun as the main plot point of the episode is Betty and Henry going to see the musical Wicked.
