The Soomra dynasty (Sindhi: سومرن جو سلسله) was a dynasty that ruled in the Sindh region of present-day Pakistan from 1024 to 1351. Their first ruler, Al Khafif, was sent from Samarra, in modern-day Iraq, by the Abbasid Caliphate and took over Mansura after the last ruler of the Habbari dynasty died in 1010 AD. Although the dynasty was given an Arab pedigree, it is considered to have been Rajput in nature.
