Soulphonic Soundsystem is a U.S.-based bicoastal production team of DJ Santo and Chauncey Canfield. Their broken beat style incorporates jazz and Brazilian influences with dance-oriented downtempo and nu-jazz elements. Their improvised live sets utilize both real and electronic instruments with DJ. Contemporary influences include Fila Brazillia, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Dzihan & Kamien, and Bugz in the Attic.
