Just like the other three LRT stations (namely Choa Chu Kang, Keat Hong, Teck Whye), South View station serves the residents of Choa Chu Kang.
South View Light Rail station supports light-railed trains going in either directions. Passengers travelling on one direction will head towards and terminate at Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT Station.
