Spijk (53°23′N 6°50′E / 53.383°N 6.833°E / 53.383; 6.833) is a town in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is a part of the municipality of Delfzijl, and lies about 26 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Groningen.

In 2001, the town of Spijk had 1132 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.50 km², and contained 475 residences.[1] The statistical area "Spijk", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1250.[2]
