Square-inch analysis, or squinch, guides many marketing decisions for mail order companies.
Such analysis consists of counting how many square inches each product takes on a catalog page. The cost per square inch determined by production, printing, postage and name rental costs. A more advanced squinch will give more weight to certain pages.
