St. Anthony's School, Hampstead
St. Anthony's Roman Catholic preparatory school is a leading IAPS preparatory (independent) school in Hampstead, London, for boys aged 4 to 13. It was founded in Eastbourne in 1898 by the Patton family. It moved to its Hampstead village (in London) location shortly after World War II.
In 2010, it was taken over by Alpha Plus.
In the same year, the school received an "Outstanding" ISI (Independant Schools Inspectorate) inspection, saying, "The pupils’ achievements, attitudes and skills are excellent, fulfilling the aims of the school: pupils benefit greatly from the informal yet structured environment and achieve high standards."
It shortly after received an "Outstanding" Diocesan Inspection Report. The majority of former puplils (known as Old Antonians) go onto public (independent) schools such as Ampleforth, City of London, Downside, Eton, Highgate, Mill Hill, Haberdashers, Westminster, St. Paul's, UCS, Harrow, Crambrook, Bedales, Uppingham, and Marlborough.
