St. Louis Secondary School is an all-girls Catholic secondary reformatory school in Dundalk, County Louth. It is situated beside the De La Salle College on the outskirts of Dundalk.
[edit] History
The Dún Lughaidh girls' school was founded by a religious order of nuns in Dundalk. The order was named after Louis XVI of France (which provided the school with its name) and its purpose was to educate the Irish people. The school crest symbolises loyalty to the French crown.
[edit] Uniform
The uniform consists of a grey v-neck jumper worn over a grey open necked girls' blouse, with a grey and navy striped tie, a calf-length grey skirt (grey trousers are also an option) and a grey fleece jacket bearing the schools crest. Students also have the option of wearing a black blazer although it is not a required part of the uniform. Shoes must be flat-soled and black.
