Cristo Rey St Martin High School is a private, college prep, Roman Catholic high school in Waukegan, Illinois. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. The school is made[clarification needed] affordable for students of limited options through each student's participation[clarification needed] in the Hire4Ed (corporate internship) Program.[1] The Hire4Ed program is a program where students go to work once a week. They work for their high school tuition.

Background[edit]

St. Martin de Porres High School was established in 2004. It is part of the Cristo Rey Network of high schools, the original being Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago.[2]The Cristo Rey Network comprises 25 high schools that provide a quality, Catholic, college preparatory education to urban young people who live in communities with limited educational options.
