St. Peter's Church is located near Queenstown, Maryland. It is a prominent landmark along US 50, its brick walls unusually close to the highway. The original church was built between 1823 and 1827, but was substantially altered in 1877, re-orienting the plan of the building. The detailing was altered to a more Victorian-Gothic appearance with simple rose windows and Stick style trim.
