Saint Thomas More Catholic High School (STM) is a co-educational, Roman Catholic high school located in Lafayette, Louisiana. It opened its doors in 1982 and is named after the 16th century Saint, Thomas More. STM, has approximately 1,100 students,[2] the majority coming from its four feeder schools:
- Our Lady of Fatima
- Saint Cecilia
- St. Pius
- Cathedral Carmel School

[edit] Bill Raxsdale
Bill Raxsdale was the band director of St. Thomas More From 2001-2008. He is a published author; his book is titled The Marching Band Director: A Master Planning Guide[3] . The knowledge that is outlined in this book is what brought the Cougar Band repeated instances of successes throughout the Raxsdale Era. Raxsdale was known for his "vast musical intelligence" [4].

- Lyle Mouton - played for the LSU Tigers and in major league baseball, most notably for the Chicago White Sox.
- Javon Walker - played football for the Florida State Seminoles and currently plays for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL.
- Scott Dohmann- MLB player for the Arizona Diamondbacks
- Mikie Mahtook - First round draft pick of the Tampa Rays in the 2011 MLB Draft. Most notably known for his role on the 2009 National Champion LSU Baseball team.
- Kelley Brooke Gravlee, now Brooke Kelley, writer for Glamour and founder of Akashic Magazine.
