St Leonards railway station is a station on the North Shore Line and the Northern Line of Sydney's CityRail network. It is located in the Forum complex on the Pacific Highway in the Sydney suburb of St Leonards. The station has been through several incarnations. The original station opened in 1890 with the opening of the North Shore Line. For 12 years, from 1989 until 2000, the station was relocated to a temporary location south of the Pacific Highway overpass. The opening of the current station coincided with the opening of the Forum apartment building in 2000, which sits above and across the station, and has been built with provision for four tracks as part of future quadruplication plans. As of February 2010, there is a platform 2 (toward Central) and a platform 3 (toward Berowra).

Previous services

In the May 2006 timetable change, frequency at St Leonards station was increased from four trains an hour to six to eight trains an hour, in the off peak and on weekends due to redevelopment works at North Sydney station, so it makes it six to eight trains per four between Milsons Point station and Lindfield station and four to six trains per four between Killara station and Gordon station. In the October 2009 timetable change, stations in the Ku-ring-gai region have had significant service cuts, as outbound services are diverted to the Northern Line at Chatswood. St Leonards station has had a cut in weekday services by 17.3%, reflected in a reduced frequency of six trains per hour in each direction during off peak hours.
