Star Soldier (スターソルジャー?) is a shoot 'em up video game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Entertainment System and MSX computers.[1] It was ported to the Game Boy Advance in 2004 in Japan as part of the Famicom Mini series, and to the Wii's Virtual Console in the North American and Japanese regions in July 2007. Star Soldier has spawned numerous sequels starting with Super Star Soldier on the TurboGrafx-16 console.

In the game the player pilots a starship known as "Ceasar", travelling through a space station occupied by a powerful super computer known as "Starbrain" who threatens the galactic empire. The game is said to have been inspired by the earlier arcade game Star Force.[2]
