Starkenburg is a historical region of the state of Hesse in Germany, consisting of the districts (Kreise) of Bergstraße, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Groß-Gerau, and Odenwaldkreis, along with the city of Darmstadt. The region got its name from the Starkenburg castle near Heppenheim.

The Starkenburg Economic Development Agency coordinates the efforts of the government units in marketing the region to technology companies.
