Farm to Market Road 999 or FM 999 is a state highway in far east Texas near the town of Gary. The route was originally designated in 1948 from Gary southwestward about 5 miles (8.0 km). In 1950 it was extended east to US 59, replacing State Highway 181. Between 1971 and 1972, the route was extended west another 5 miles (8.0 km) to complete its current designation.
