Steve Ashlee is an award-winning[citation needed] American director[1] and cinematographer.
He has worked often with the Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham, Alabama. An Alabama native, his films have been compared to David Lynch.[citation needed]
His film West From North Goes South,[2] which stars Phyllis Diller, Morris Day, Tina Louise and Shawn David Thompson, won two awards at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in 2004.
