Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt
Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt is a brand of energy drink that is produced by Steven Seagal Enterprises. The soft drink was introduced in July 2005 by independent distributors. It is promoted by action movie star Steven Seagal. The beverage is billed as the "first energy drink to be made of 100% juice."
Each can bears a picture of Steven Seagal and a quote reading "A Natural Energy Drink Packed With Vitamins and Exotic Botanicals". The side of the can lists ingredients of the "Herbal tonic blend": "This Long Lasting Energy Elixir is Made With Ingredients From All Over the Globe. Tibetan Goji berry, Asian Cordyceps, B vitamins, Ginseng, Guarana. Sweetened With All Natural Polisweet an Imported Sugarcane Juice Concentrate Containing Policosanols (sic)"
The drink gained notoriety in Australia when popular radio duo Hamish and Andy ordered two crates just before the drink went defunct. 3 years later they received just 10 cans under protest, just before starting a class action, before pouring them into the sea to allow the world to enjoy.
