Stop Drop and Roll!!! is the first self-released record from American garage rock band Foxboro Hot Tubs (which is a garage rock side-project of the Green Day band members).[1] Its A-side was made available for free on foxborohottubs.com beginning on December 8, 2007, but it has since been removed for free download. The full album was first made available for digital purchase on April 22, 2008, and was released on CD and LP on May 20, 2008.

Initial reports described the record as having a "'60s style" sound.[2]

The first "single" from the album was "Mother Mary". It received extensive airplay on many rock stations, including KROQ. So far, the song has peaked at #16 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Chart.

This is the only Green Day release to make use of samples. At the beginning of each song on the A-side EP, audio clips from various classic films were inserted. For example, "Stop Drop and Roll" and "She's a Saint Not a Celebrity" were preceded by samples from the 1966 film Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, while "Ruby Room" contained a clip from the 1970 cult classic Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Green Day had not made use of samples since Kerplunk! in 1992. On the final version of the album, however, these samples were removed. A sample of a childhood interview with Billie Joe Armstrong (On the B side of Armstrong's first single "Look For Love"[1987]) features in the song "Maria" from the 2001 International Superhits! album.

On March 25, 2008 six more songs were added to the album's track listing and the song "The Pedestrian" became available to download or to listen to on the band's MySpace site. The band's site now confirms that "The Pedestrian" will be the album's next single.

The original album art shown on the band's official website in December 2007 was updated for its full release in 2008 and has replaced the track "Highway 1" on the front cover with "Mother Mary" (the first single which also turned into a surprise radio hit) and on the back cover "Highway 1" with "Broadway", a new song.

The physical album release comes with the CD in a cardboard sleeve reminiscent of vinyl records, with the CD face even looking like a vinyl record. The album is also referred to as having a "Side A" and "Side B" like vinyl-era albums. The vinyl edition itself came with a free CD copy of the album.
