The New Zealand shipping firm Strait Shipping Limited operates between the North Island (Wellington: passengers and freight, Napier: freight) and the South Island (Picton: passengers and freight; and Nelson: freight only).

The firm started operations in 1992 to compete with the Interisland Line, owned by the then state-owned enterprise New Zealand Rail Limited.

Strait Shipping currently operates the passenger roll on / roll off ferry MS Santa Regina under the Bluebridge brand, with MS Monte Stello entering service in late 2006. Now a new ferry MV Straitsman
