Strike Lane Primary School is a county school[1] located in the village of Freckleton, Lancashire. It offers places to mixed genders of ages 5 to 11.

History[edit]

The school was built and opened for pupils in 1965 and then further designed between 1965 and 1970. The school initially had two junior classrooms, two infant classrooms, staff accommodation, a kitchen and an assembly hall. During 1968, overcrowding ensured the building of two further junior classrooms, an extra infants classroom, an infants play area and additional service areas. It was officially opened by the then Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire on 11 March 1970.[2]
