Student Assembly Against Racism is the student wing of the United Kingdom National Assembly Against Racism. It was set up to combat both the rise of the BNP in the United Kingdom, but also to deal with institutionalised racism on a broader level. Their recent campaigns have included a drive for anonymous marking, in support of student asylum seekers and against the British Police stop and search laws which disproportionately affect those in minority communities.
The NAAR has strong links to former Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone and has received a large amount of financial assistance from the Greater London Authority.
