Motostik brand pogo stick
Stunt pogo or extreme pogo is the act of performing stunts or tricks on a pogo stick, and is often compared to other extreme sports, such as skateboarding. The organization of the sport is attributed to David Armstrong[1] the founder of Xpogo.com. The world championship of the sport is called Pogopalooza and has been held annually since 2004.
[edit] The evolution of tricks
Since the creation of xpogo, the difficulty of tricks has drastically changed, in large part due to the introduction of high class pogos like the Vurtego or Flybar. These pogo sticks allow riders to attain heights of over 8 feet in the air.[2] Since their introduction pogoers have been able to reach all new levels; for example, larger barspins are now possible, flips and other acrobatics are now possible and pogoers now have more time in the air to do as many tricks as possible.[3]
