Sundaranachiapuram is a village located nearby Rajapalayam, in Virudhunagar district. It is a small village, with around 750 families.
Two schools were established 100 years ago by Roman Catholic priests:
- St. Joseph's Middle School
- St. Theresa Elementary School
Sundaranachiarpuram is named for the name of Hindu god sundaranachiamman. Sundaranachiamman temple is 2 KM away from sundaranachiarpuram.
The village has a church and two temples:
- Our Lady of Lourdes Church
- Pillaiyar Koil
- Krishnan Koil
Our Lady of Lourdes Church is more than hundred years old church, built by Englishmen. Every year Aug-14 and Aug-15, the church festival is celebrated. At that time the famous Thier Bavani (car festival) takes place at this church.
