Sunset (also, Old Sunset)^[1] is a former settlement in Kern County, California.^[1] It was located on the Sunset Railroad 2.5 miles (4 km) east of Hazelton.^[1]

The name Sunset was bestowed by Judge Lovejoy because of the beautiful sunsets there.^[1]
