Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education or (SARE) is a part of the USDA's Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service. SARE is a granting organization that tries to promote environmentally friendly agriculture and help small farmers become more profitable. Having profitable small farms is an important key to revitalizing rural communities.
