Svinør is a Norwegian island south of Åvik in Lindesnes, and is a former port. It was most often used in bad weather (the Norwegian term uthavn meaning "exterior harbor"), when it was the largest port east of Lindesnes. In 1800 many people lived here[clarification needed], but in has now been replaced by Vigeland as the municipal centre. Today there are many holidaymakers in Svinør.

There was formerly a customs station in Svinør.
