Sweet Dreams (novel)

Sweet Dreams is a 1973 novel by Michael Frayn.
The plot addresses the question of what happens when a middle-class intellectual man dies. Why, he goes to a middle-class intellectual Heaven of course. Our hero gets jobs such as designing the Alps, commissioning the creation of man before finally becoming God, replacing A J P Taylor who was doing the job before.
