Tacuarembó Fútbol Club, usually known simply as Tacuarembó, are an Uruguayan football club based in Tacuarembó. The supporters have a big flag with the legend "Tacuarembó es gardel", referring to the (contested) Uruguayan nationality of the tango singer Carlos Gardel, although facts show he was born in Toulouse, France. Like the inner-country team Rocha, Tacuarembó is a super merge of 21 different clubs, and represents all of the department it is located in, except for the city Paso de los Toros.
