Taheebo extract is another name for the Ipê or Pau d’Arco tree. Taheebo has been used for years in Central America and South America to treat a number of diseases including Eczema, Candidiasis, Fungal infections and even cancer.[1] The worth and use of Taheebo extract has been related to the importance of quinine, which is taken from the bark of the South American Cinchona tree and is a medicinally accepted treatment for malaria.[2]

[edit] Taheebo tea

Another popular method for consumption of Taheebo is through tea. Many South American tribes use the inner bark of the Taheebo tree to make a tea.[3] Tahebo tea should not be touched by any metals. That means that it should be cooked in glass pot, and filtered through plastic or cotton. Alternative name for this tea is Lapacho.
