Parliamentary elections were held in Tajikistan on 28 February 2010.[1][2] Early indications suggested that current President Emomali Rakhmon's People's Democratic Party had amassed 71.7% of the votes (losing four seats), although international observers stated the election had "failed on many basic democratic standards", with widespread electoral fraud occurring.[3]
The seats were elected in 41 constituencies, with 22 further MPs elected through proportional represenation with a 5% electoral threshold.

All but the Islamic Renaissance Party are considered supporters of the regime. In the Konibodom constituency voting had to be repeated; on 14 March, the PDPT candidate won there, too.[4][5]
