Takashima (高島郡 Takashima-gun) was a district located in Shiga, Japan.
In 2003, the district had an estimated population of 55,348 and a density of 108.24 persons per km². The total area was 511.36 km².
This district was dissolved upon the formation of a new city called Takashima with the merging of Adogawa, Imazu, Kutsuki, Makino, Shin'asahi, and Takashima towns, officially turning the district into a city.
