Talapady (Kannada, Tulu: ತಲಪಾಡಿ ) (Talapadi) is a village in Mangalore taluk of the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka state in India. Talapady borders the state of Kerala. National Highway 17 (NH-17), connecting Mangalore (Kudla or Mangaluru) with Uppala and Kasaragod, passes through it. There is a checkpost here. There is a Durga Parameshwari temple in nearby Kinya village.

The Talapady is connected by city buses operating from State Bank( Mangalore city), frequency being 5 minutes. From Mangalore to Talapdy its around 15 km. It is around 8 km from Uppala and 32 km from Kasaragod.The route numbers of the buses from Mangalore to Talapady are 42 and 43. Some of the express buses going from Mangalore to Kasargod do stop at Talapady highway junction.
