Talk:Army in the Field
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Source section for this page had a dead link, so I removed it. I have found no documentation anywhere that lists an Army in the Field in Grant's commands. During this period, Eicher says he was in command of the District of Cairo, Department of the Missouri. I also checked in a few other books about Grant. If no one can come forward with counter-documentation, I intend to retire this page.

Well, no one objected, so I executed the move as promised. It's now in a consolidated Army of the Tennessee article, although the second half of the war is still a stub. Hal Jespersen 02:16, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
