This cannot be right. They were at the 'Return of the Knebworth Fayre' Festival in 1985, which was headlined by the newly re-formed Deep Purple. See Wikipeia article 'Concerts at Knebworth House'.

Can't find any definitive information on the Official Website. Maybe the writer made an assumption based on the 1984 recording date of their last pre-breakup studio LP (VERTICAL SMILES)? Anyone have definitive info on breakup date. GBrady (talk) 20:04, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Poor writing, inconsistent information

This has got to be one of the most poorly written articles I have ever seen on Wikipedia. Whoever wrote it probably copied some of the bio information from other websites, as it is obvious that person is not a very good writer, much less familiar with bands and rock music terminology. That was clear from the very beginniong when the article starts with the statement "Blackfoot is a Southern rock musical ensemble." "Musical ensemble" sounds like it would fit perfectly when describing a group that plays classical music, but it made me laugh to see it describing Blackfoot.

Other statements like "...Rickey Medlocke and Greg T. Walker met former New York City native Charlie Hargrett in Jacksonville and organized the band Fresh Garbage with Ron Sciabarasi for keyboards, Rick for drums and vocals, Greg for bass and Hargrett for lead guitar..." and "...Medlocke decided to continue with a new team that included Doug "Bingo" Bare (keyboards, synthetics, backup vocals)..." only serve to reinforce that feeling.

I know the writer must be referring to synthesizers, but the use of the term "synthetics" is not even close to that. That sounds more like something you would say to describe nylon because it is a "synthetic" material.

As far as some of the historical information goes, some of it seems fine and some it isn't. Charlie Hargrett wrote a detailed history of his time in the band. I would think first hand information is better than anything copied and reworded. You can find it at siogo.com. He even explains what SIOGO means.
