[edit] Neutrality
Still lacks the citations and there is not NPOV in the lead paragraph. Simply south (talk) 12:53, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- In the past few days this article has received many vandalism edits and it is now in a mess. Hopefully this will stop soon, but as far as I can see we need to revert right back to my edit on 19th May and get rid of all the senseless rubbish. Dsergeant (talk) 17:05, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Clock fountain
Found this April 2009 news article from the local paper while checking what to call the clock fountain.
It might be of use in the article...? -- EdJogg (talk) 12:28, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

- Maybe. Not sure about that article you link to - the redevelopment of the town centre has gone very quiet and many suspect it has been postponed indefinitely because of the economic situation. So for the moment the 'clock' fountain remains. Most of us just walk past it with no more than a casual glance, usually noticing the workmen there trying to get it working, you very rarely see any fountains of water. But I guess it is a 'feature' of the town.Dsergeant (talk) 16:57, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Mobility Scooters
I see a comment 'Bracknell has a higher ratio of mobility scooters than any other UK town centre' has just been added. I have no information to dispute this, however I have never been aware of that many scooters myself when in the town centre - although there is a mobility scooter hire shop. Residents elsewhere in town certainly use them, but I rarely see more than one or two a day. If nobody comes up with a reference in a few days I shall delete it. Dsergeant (talk) 17:13, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'm inclined to think this probably isn't true, and if it is then it probably isn't verifiable. Googling mobility scooter Bracknell gives me nothing but adverts and some local governement stuff about accessibility, and Google News Archive has even less. My thoughts would be to remove it until it can be verified. Alzarian16 (talk) 19:05, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

- This article does attract a lot of spurious comments, but I thought this one might have a grain of truth (hence the fact tag rather than straight delete). It may be no more than another mischievous edit, in which case Dsergeant's intentions are correct. However, I can understand why someone might add this: walking from work to the town centre along Crowthorne Road North (over the old railway bridge) and past the bus station and there are numerous people using these scooters -- I've even seen them near-racing down there! Of course, this really shouldn't stay in the article for long, as such 'facts' have a habit of spreading... -- EdJogg (talk) 08:48, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
