With the defeat of the Liberals in the 2006 Canadian Federal Election to Stephen Harper's Conservatives, Prime Minister Paul Martin announced his intention to resign the leadership of the party. I believe Brian Tobin is the perfect pick for leader of the liberal party. He is very popular among Canadians and is passionate about the country. He is distanced from the liberal scandals. Which is something that the next leader of the liberal party needs to be. He has a history of being strong and straight forward. I believe if given the opportunity he can restore the Liberal Party Image. The 2006 election was not about the issues and what Canada hold dear it was simply a vote on the Sponsorship scandal. I truly believe that if the People of Canada ran on the issues alone there would be a liberal government. This guy scott 07:30, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
I agree that Tobin would make an excellent Prime Minister. Can someone start a page for the 2006 Liberal Leadership Race?
[edit] Assessment
I have assessed this as Start Class, as there is a lot of detail, but almost no organization and no citations whatsoever. I have assessed this as low importance, as I do not feel that many people outside of Canada would be familiar with the subject of the article. Cheers, CP 15:06, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
NOTE: Someone might want to verify the veracity of the man's political party. At the top he is listed in his title above his photograph as PC in the Personal Details it says he is a Liberal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.83.161.136 (talk) 16:06, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
The PC stands for Privy Council, if you clicked on the link for PC you'd see that. Newfoundlander&Labradorian (talk) 22:06, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
