Mihnea Tudoreanu reverted my edit, and asked "what was the point of that last edit?"
Here are why I made my edits:
- The article had a lot of boldface text for no apparent purpose, contrary to the appearance of many other Wikipedia articles. I especially don't understand why most of the first sentence was in boldface.
- This article is far too short an article to have a two-item list in it. The list flows better when made into a paragraph.
- I was always taught in my English class that it's better to use "such as" instead of "e.g."
- "... a pejorative, blanket term ...": Here, blanket term is the noun, so don't put a comma before it.
- "... and their supporters in state-sponsored propaganda" is a dangling participle, incorrectly implying that the Soviet Union has supporters in state-sponsored propaganda.
Do you disagree with any of these? - Brian Kendig 04:13, 2 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Ok socialist redirects to socialism so capitalist should redirect to capitalism —Preceding unsigned comment added by Halofan101 (talk • contribs)
- Socialist redirects to socialism because a socialist is someone who supports socialism, which is correct. A capitalist, on the other hand, does not necessarily support capitalism. A redirect to capitalism gives the word "Capitalist" a meaning that is only a recent, secondary and still rare connotation of the word. Therefore, I oppose the redirect. - Incidentally, this issue has been discussed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Capitalism#Missing_capitalist_.28as_a_person.29_definition and lead to the redirect being removed once before. DanielDemaret (talk) 17:56, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
