Should we rellay be calling him Rjyan? I went to college with this kid, and his legal name is NOT Rjyan, but Ryan. Alvis 04:01, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)

He has consistently referred to himself as Rjyan for many years now (see this idm-l post from early 1998). I don't see why we shouldn't use his preferred name. Pimlottc 19:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I agree with you, Pimlottc. Legal name or not, he is commonly referred to as Rjyan in press and personal correspondence, so that convention should be applied. It can noted, however, that his birth name is Ryan Kidwell. Which I shall do. Girolamo Savonarola 21:02, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
It would be interesting to note if he has had his name legally changed to Rjyan. Do you know if he has? Pimlottc 23:07, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

his middle name is claybrook, not clarence... -shawn phase

I inserted the J in 1993 or 94 and have signed my name that way ever since-- any recording (any creative work I've done whatsoever, actually) has been credited to Rjyan Kidwell, going all the way back to the first Guru Magpie & q Crwth cassettes put out by Full Tilt Distribution in the mid 90s. I must admit, though, that I haven't felt it necessary to run this by any kind of judge because up until now, no one has ever felt compelled to imply that it isn't proper for me to have so much say in what I am called.Goodwillsidis 00:06, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

How dare you! --plz reply in my talkpage. Smooth Henry (talk) 19:13, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

SO DUDES since there's a "birth name/aka" thing in this box on the side of the page, can we scrap the lame-o "footnote"? 71.206.27.189 21:26, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
