This article sucks. In fact I really don't think it should be an article. How about a List of chemical properties instead? ike9898 14:32, Mar 2, 2004 (UTC)

I've always learned that the phase of a substance is a physical property. What gives?

The phase of a substance IS a physical property. This article is incorrect. Water has the same chemical composition regardless of its phase. H20 is H20 as ice, as liquid, and as a gas - thus, a physical change. The difference between these phases is the speed of the molecules, not a chemical difference. In solids, they move very slowly. In liquids, they move faster. In gases, they move faster still.

[edit] what?

This article includes the phrase your mom I don't think that's exactly a word.

WHY DOESNT IT TELL YOU THE DEFINITION?!i need it for science GOSH someone please put the definition on it... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.145.199.32 (talk) 00:33, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
