[edit] Tagamet for treatment of acid reflux disease
I have used Tagamet 2 times to cure acid reflux disease. I believe, if I remember correctly,
I took it for a month the last time I had it. I requested it from the doctor. I told her that it took care of it last time I had it. Tagamet's main medicinal value is treating ulcers. At one time it was the most prescribed medicine ever. (Source Pharmacist) The makers of the drug I believe received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for their "Discovery" i.e. the research and the testing to get the best medicine out. It is one of the most important discoveries in Medicine; my opinion. Me too drugs have come out, but they probabaly are not as good as Tagamet (Cimetidine).
