The first paragraph should have some type of begining point, but I don't know where it should start, Tin Pan Alley or ragtime. Also the article should also link to music of the united states Anon User October 11, 2005
How is classic pop different from pop standards? Maybe these articles should be merged? Or if they are kept separate, the difference between them needs to be better specified. Wasted Time R 22:56, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed merge with Traditional pop music
Both articles basically discuss the same style of music under different terminology (as did the old Pop standards article). I'm not too bothered which title (Classic pop or Traditional pop) is used for the final article (though I'd suggest the other terms should be listed early in the article), but at the moment Classic pop has far more info than Traditional pop music. -- Matthew Humphreys 12:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
