The language and tone of this article are characteristic of political propaganda, but not of an encyclopedia article. An encyclopedia is a place to find facts; words like predatory, parasitic, and phrases like US imperialism are not for conveying facts, but for inflaming emotions. They are allowed on your own web site, but do not belong here. Give us facts, such as "a survey in 1902 showed that 2% of the respondents felt that the government was brutally repressive." I completely agree that the language is very biased, and will tone it down a bit. It also needs references, which I can't give. --Regebro 16:07, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Marxist trash....

This article was obviously written by an anti-American because of words/phrases like imperialist, big bourgeois parties, Throughout its history the communists of Bangladesh and the CPB have earned great prestige by their sacrifice, honesty, sincerity, integrity, dedication and uncompromising struggle for freedom, peace, democracy and socialism, Communists have always been valiant fighters for the cause of the workers and toiling people of Bangladesh as well as for all just national causes and Communists of Bangladesh have also been true internationalists. They have also laid down their lives in struggles expressing internationalist solidarity with Vietnam and other national liberation movements. This page needs to be edited or else this site should not consider itself a valid source of neutral information.

There is no problem with this article

I am not sure, why both of you guiz think that this article is more like a propaganda than information. I guess both of you are quite anti-communist. As this article is about a political party, isnt it allright to explain their ideology here, isnt it all right to mention that they considers american emperialism is not a good thing. There are many other article about political parties in wikipedia, read those, you will know that this article was no exception. They praised about positive communist activities in the article, but what is the problem with that, did they lie about anything there? No. So, whats the problem. You people may are anti-communist or if you are an american then american emperialism kind of thing may hurt you, but please be rational. And to the wikepdia adminstrator, please dont consider this article as a propaganda. And my previous person, who is objecting about the article, what right does he have to use words like "Marxist Trash", this is pure arrogance.

The person who says this article is neutral is obviously ignoring the language, that his highly pro-communist, treating them as nation heros and fighters of liberation. It also bashes the United States. These are not facts, they are opinions or an individuals interpretation of the events but they are not pure, neutral "fact".

Compare this article to Communist Party of Sri Lanka, Communist Party of Thailand, or other Communist party articles. Do you see a difference?

Bangladesh article: After the set back of socialism in the Soviet Union and other East European countries some important leaders of the CC of CPB tried to liquidate the Party. The communists staunchly opposed this hateful attempt of the betrayers. The liquidationists convened a Special Congress of the Party on June 15, 1993. The attempts of the liquidationist failed and CPB remained united under the banner of Marxism-Leninism....Throughout its history the communists of Bangladesh and the CPB have earned great prestige by their sacrifice, honesty, sincerity, integrity, dedication and uncompromising struggle for freedom, peace, democracy and socialism. Communists have always been valiant fighters for the cause of the workers and toiling people of Bangladesh as well as for all just national causes. Communists of Bangladesh have also been true internationalists. They have also laid down their lives in struggles expressing internationalist solidarity with Vietnam and other national liberation movements.

India article: A serious rift within the party surfaced in 1962. One reason was the Sino-Indian War, where the Soviet faction of the Indian communists backed the position of the Indian government, while other sections of the party claimed that it was a conflict between a socialist and a capitalist state, and thus took a pro-Chinese position. Hundreds of CPI leaders, such as E. M. S. Namboodiripad and B.T. Ranadive, accused of being pro-Chinese were imprisoned. The internal split was sealed in 1964 when two different party conferences were held, one of CPI and one of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), and thus the party was split.

1. The Bangladesh article asserts a certain viewpoint as fact, while the India article asserts just facts as fact.
2. The Bangladesh article does not remain impartial ("hateful attempt of the betrayers", "valiant fighters"), while the India article  
remains rather neutral (a faction).
