Talk:Doctoral Training Centre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
should we really have all our names on this entry? Does it add to the page, and this info can be gotten from the website?
- I agree. The names of the students, who noone has heard of and who are part of the centre for a few years only, are not relevant to communicating information about what a DTC is. There are many of them across the UK, and the names of those at this particular centre are not of interest outside its walls. I also note that this article is rather centric to the Oxford laboratories. This needs to be fixed, but I've been struggling to find a proper, generic definition of a DTC anywhere on EPSRC's website. -Splashtalk 17:38, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm a little concerned about what almost amounts to advertising of a few DTCs here. We want people to know about the DTCs, but the real estate in the article should be fairly apportioned. I'm inclined to reorder the list alphabetically, and perhaps to drop the "Examples" section - what do people think?DrSethBullock (talk) 17:55, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't know what a DTC was till I read this article, but I actually found these examples helpful in understanding what DTCs are. ComputScientist (talk) 11:19, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
[edit] List of all EPSRC centres
Would it not be better to have a full list of ESPRC DTCS accredited universities and then followed by examples of some centres? It seems a little promotional in parts.
