Talk:Dymaxion
From memory. May need to be tweaked (or demolished and rebuilt).
I rewrote it from a historical source, cited in the article now. I don't think that the individual inventions such as the Dymaxion House etc. need to be described in more detail here, that is done in the corresponding articles. I left out two facts because I think they are wrong: Fuller didn't use Dymaxion as a synonym for more-with-less, and neither was it another name for the cuboctahedron. I believe the "ion" in Dymaxion stood for "tensION", not "ion" as its own word. - That's possible, but the source currently in the article is fairly specific about how the name was derived. Can you find another reference of similar specificity that claims it came from "tension"? The BFI site is a pretty good indicator, but I'd like something that has more-obvious backing behind it, like an actual quote from Fuller.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:29, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
