[edit] Benny Hill
The part about the Road name etc needs a date and maybe a reference. Anyone have them? MyNameIsClare talk 15:51, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Perhaps a mention that Benny Hill was a Milkman in Eastleigh, working at Hans Dairies. There is a plaque in the Shopping Centre to this effect. In his record 'Earnie' Benny made reference to streets in Eastleigh as well.Bettybutt (talk) 02:39, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Population
Anyone got any idea of the population of the town? The 117,000 figure quoted is for the wider borough. Marky-Son 11:28, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] notable residents
they are spread around the article, perhaps they should be put together and ordered chronologically?
[edit] Pluto pipeline
No mention of the Pluto pipeline being made at Pirelli, where the Factory stood is a housing estate, one road called Pluto (Close?)Bettybutt (talk) 02:42, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Pluto Road [1] - any info out there? Pterre (talk) 11:28, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- A Google search for "Pluto pipeline Eastleigh" doesn't bring much up, but I only looked through the first page of (ten) results. waggers (talk) 20:20, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- You may find this link useful. It's a pdf file, published by Visit Southampton, with a line (on page 5) about Pirelli’s factory at Eastleigh and it's involvement in the manufacture of the P.L.U.T.O. pipeline, during WW II. Marek.69 talk 21:55, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
