[edit] "six children to seven different women"?

Quite an accomplishment... Savidan 16:20, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

That must be what "half-brother/sister" means ;-) Cavie78 (talk) 16:35, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Exactly what I was thinking hahahaha. Unless a miracle took place, I am assuming this person meant to say "six different women". Should I change it? Edit: I actually found a source that says "seven children with six different women": http://swindlemagazine.com/issue02/eazy-e/ Glad that's cleared up :D Basilisk4u (talk) 05:41, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

[edit] February 2011 - Dr. Dre music video

I was watching the music video for "I Need A Doctor" by Dr. Dre featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey, and at the end, Dre references Eazy-E, the last scene in the video if him standing at the grave of Eric Wright. I think this should be included within the article. Eric 324 (talk) 03:49, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Agreed, I was going to edit this, but the page is protected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.5.41.166 (talk) 20:30, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Most definitely relevant to the section about their feud, I believe. (209.195.69.106 (talk) 18:51, 5 June 2011 (UTC)) Actually, I just noticed this sentence in the article: "During the week of March 20, having already made amends with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, Eazy-E drafted his last message to fans." Thinking about it, as their feud seemed to have ceased before Eazy-E's death, his tombstone in Dr.Dre's video doesn't seem as worthy of mention. (209.195.69.106 (talk) 18:57, 5 June 2011 (UTC))

[edit] And where are the artists who have been inspired and influenced by Eazy-E?

I do not know if you noticed, but from what I have understood there are many rappers who have been inspired and influenced by Eazy-E, among them I can name a Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, 2Pac, South Park Mexican (who has a song entitled "Boys on da Cut" for the song "Boyz n the Hood"), Brownside, will.i.am, Three 6 Mafia (who have sampled the song "Eazy-Duz-It") and The Notorious BIG. And all this we should put on your legacy, believe me, they should put on artists who were inspired and influenced by Eazy-E in order to fill more the article.

Lead
  • Everything in the lead meets the criteria, IMO, so I will pass it
Early Life
  • Delink words that are already in the lead, such as "Compton, California", "Los Angeles", and "Ruthless Records".
  • Fixed CrowzRSA 21:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
  • "In 1986, at the age of 23, Wright had allegedly earned as much as $250,000 from dealing drugs." - that money value is the first mention of US Currency, right? Link United State dollar on either "$" or add pipelink it as USD in parenthesis, e.g. $250,000 (USD).
  • Fixed CrowzRSA 21:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Musical Career
  • Some words are over linked again: "Ruthless Records", " Dr. Dre", and "Ice Cube"
  • Fixed CrowzRSA 21:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Legal issues
  • Pass
Death
  • Pass
Musical influences and style
  • Over linking again on the first line alone, delink: "Ice-T", "Redd Foxx", "King Tee", "Bootsy Collins", "Run-D.M.C.", "Richard Pryor", "The Egyptian Lover", "Schoolly D", "Too $hort", "Prince", "The Sugarhill Gang", and "George Clinton". Further into the section: "Eazy-Duz-It", "Ice Cube, The D.O.C., and "MC Ren" (twice in the third paragraph), "The D.O.C.", "MC Ren". In the legacy section: "Billboard 200", "Eazy-Duz-It", and "Real Muthaphuckkin G's".
  • Fixed CrowzRSA 21:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Discography
  • Pass
References
  • Don't write the title in all capital, like correct #53 "ABOUT THE OFFICIAL HIP HOP HALL OF FAME AND PRODUCER JT THOMPSON"
  • Fixed CrowzRSA 21:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
  • Some of the references don't have accessdates, I am not talking about the references to books and magazines, I mean the refs that are online. Example, there are no accessdates for the following references:
    • Ref #3
    • Ref #5
    • Ref #6; also why does the published date read "2006-03-2006", rather than "2006-03-26"?
    • Refs #9 - #11
    • Ref # 16
    • Ref # 27
    • Ref # 29
    • Ref # 35
    • Ref # 38
    • Ref # 53
      • Template:Cite web says that retrieval date "should be given if the publication date is unknown", so I only fixed #11. CrowzRSA 21:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Edit request from 99.137.149.253, 3 April 2011

In the infobox where it saids died it saids he was 32 when he died that is not correct because he was born on September 7, 1963 and died on March 26, 1995; so he died before his 32nd birthday; and that explains why it should say 31 because he was 31 when he died.

[edit] Some bullshit in the article:

{{edit semi-protected}}

"The FBI launched a money-laundering investigation under the assumption that the JDL was extorting money from Ruthless Records to fight their extremist causes."

Extremist causes? Where the hell does it say that? Seems like pure BS to me. Remove entirely, please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ratmandu (talkcontribs) 06:08, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

YesY Done I removed "extremist", as it doesn't comply with WP:NPOV CTJF83 18:45, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Edit request on 24 December 2011

Easy E's death date was 1995 aged 32 not 1995 aged 31

199.126.50.82 (talk) 18:52, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

N Not done If the dates in the article are correct, September 7, 1963 – March 26, 1995, then age 31 is correct - his 31st birthday was on September 7, 1994, and he died six months after that. Looking at the first few online sources in the article, the Los Angeles Times and Rap News agree with this. However, AllMusic says he was born in 1964, in which case he was only 30 when he died.
I don't see anyone saying that he made it to 32. -- John of Reading (talk) 17:36, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
