Sorry, I meant it to be in Wiktionary, but when I searched Wiktionary I ended up here by mistake. I have in fact put the same article in Wiktionary. --PeterR 18:15, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Is the spelling "Exy" really attested in German? I can only find "Exi".
I've seen both spellings - it seems to be one of these terms that's heard more often than actually seen written down. I agree though that it's unlikely in German for Exy to be the more common spelling. Grutness|hello?

[edit] Were they only Beatles fans
This article implies that the exies were a small social group who became Beatles fans. My understanding was that young Germans at that time styled themselves either as "rockers" or "exies", so the exies were in fact a rather large group of people, like beatnicks in the US. Am I mistaken?

The article refers to terms, such as "Grosse Freiheit" and "pilzkopfrizur", which have not yet been defined. Until they are, I think it should stay.
