Famotidine was discovered by Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. who market fammotidine in Japan. Merck has license rights outside of Japan.

Guys I live in Austin TX and have noticed all Pepcid brand has been sold out. Big empty spaces where it used to be on all the store shelves. What's going on?
